Christoph Callies wurde 1987 in Hamburg geboren und begann erst im Alter von 12 Jahren mit dem
\nViolinspiel. Sein Violinstudium an der Musikhochschule L\u00fcbeck bei Frau Prof. Maria Egelhof
\nschloss er mit Bestnote ab. Weitere Studien und Kurse bei G\u00fcnter Pichler, Heime M\u00fcller, Arnold
\nSteinhardt, dem Beaux Arts Trio, Trio Fontenay und dem Artemis Quartett runden Christoph Callies
\ngeigerische und kammermusikalische Ausbildung ab.
\nSowohl als Solist wie auch als Kammermusiker konzertiert Christoph Callies seit vielen Jahren
\nregelm\u00e4\u00dfig in Deutschland und ganz Europa. Er ist Gr\u00fcndungsmitglied des bei fast allen
\ninternational rennomierten Wettbewerben ausgezeichneten und mit Preisen dekorierten
\nKlaviertrios “Trio Adorno” (u.a. Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, Osaka
\nInternational Chamber Music Competition, Deutscher Musikwettbewerb). Reglm\u00e4\u00dfig ist er zu Gast
\nbei internationalen Festivals (u.a. Festspiele Mecklenburg\u2013Vorpommern, Ludwigsburger
\nSchlossfestspiele, Oberstdorfer Musiksommer).
\nNeben seinem k\u00fcnstlerischen Schaffen ist Christoph Callies seit langem auch ein gefragter
\nP\u00e4dagoge. Seit 2013 unterrichtet er mit einen Lehrauftrag an der Musikhochschule L\u00fcbeck in Form
\nder Assistenz bei Frau Prof. Maria Egelhof. Seit Anfang 2016 betreut Christoph Callies als Dozent
\nf\u00fcr Violine und Kammermusik eine eigene Violinklasse an der “Musikakademie Kassel”. Einen
\nweiteren Schwerpunkt seines p\u00e4dagogischen Wirkens bildet die Jugendarbeit. Viele seiner Sch\u00fcler
\nsind Bundespreistr\u00e4ger bei “Jugend musiziert”, er gibt regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Workshops und Meisterkurse
\nund ist gefragt als Juror bei Jugendwettbewerben.

Christoph Callies was born in 1987 in Hamburg and only started playing the violin at the age of 12.

\nBoth as a soloist and as a chamber musician, Christoph Callies has performed regularly for many years
\nregularly in Germany and throughout Europe. He is a founding member of the ensemble
\nand decorated with prizes at almost all internationally renowned competitions.

\nIn addition to his artistic work, Christoph Callies has long been a sought-after teacher.
\npedagogue. Since 2013, he has been teaching at the L\u00fcbeck University of Music in the form of a teaching
\nassistant to Prof. Maria Egelhof. Since the beginning of 2016, Christoph Callies has been a lecturer
\nfor violin and chamber music at the \u2018Musikakademie Kassel\u2019. Another
